Au Revoir Simone
Another New York Band, but maybe not so well known, is Au Revoir Simone. Haha I just realised that rhymed :|. I discovered them about a year ago now when they were being played over and over in Topshop, which just shows how often I go in there. Their look always reminds me of Urban Outfitters - probably my favourite shop - resulting in me giving them the thumbs up. Their image reflects the current lacy, floral, cropped, 1950's length skirts trend that is so prominent today. They've been described as (thank you wiki) 'lush electronic hypno-folk'. I think they're worth checking out, although I've had mixed reviews off friends when I've played it to them. Look up 'Sad Song' or my favourite 'Shadows'.
